About AFIN-TS
An analytical research institute for non-target screening

Our vision

AFIN-TS GmbH has set itself the task of spreading the knowledge about non-target screening and its various possibilities and continuously researching it. The focus of our work is on the holistic use of different chromatography techniques and mass spectrometry, especially in the area of the non-target screening concept. By adapting the strategies developed by us to specific questions, it is possible to offer customers tailor-made solutions with the help of which comprehensive non-target screening can be used.
With our training and further education offers, we offer you the opportunity to learn how non-target screening strategies are further developed and thus used sustainably.

Our institute

Our still young analytical research institute was founded by Dr. Thomas Letzel, Dr. Stefan Bieber and Dr. Johanna Grassmann.

All three know each other from the TU München and have since years experience in teaching and researching in instrumental analysis.
Dr. Thomas Letzel and Dr. Stefan Bieber lead AFIN-TS GmbH as managing directors and work since long time developing Non-Target Screening strategies.

Since early 2019 Frau Susanne Minkus reinforces us with her phD studies in ‘Polarity-Extended Chromatography in Non-Target Screening and the Application in aqueous environmental samples.’

Our heart project

We have set ourselves the task of awakening an interest in chemistry, analytics and the profession of the researcher among children and adolescents. That is why we offer great events for children and adolescents from the age of 3 as part of our “Teaching Science” project.

Any questions?

Do you have any questions about our seminars, would you like to have a complex sample analyzed or would you like to learn more about technology transfer? We are happy to answer your questions at any time.

We look forward to your inquiry!
