In the new issue of the AFIN-TS Forum (AFIN-TS Forum 06) we present a sample preparation strategy for high-salt contenting samples for NTS analysis. In this study, four different solid phase materials (SPE) were investigated for their suitability for salt reduction while retaining polar and very polar organic compounds. Two of the tested SPE phases showed a very high recovery of the investigated substances with very efficient salt reduction.
